1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Shepherd Holding W.L.L ("Shoe Box", "we", "us"), a company registered in the Kingdom of Bahrain. By downloading, accessing or using the Shoe Box app or the shoe-box.app website (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use Shoe Box. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms.
3. The service
Shoe Box lets you catalogue the shoes you own — their brand, model, size and fit — and see what size you wear across the brands in your collection.
Shoe Box is a personal reference tool. The information it shows is for your own guidance. Fit varies by person, model and production run, so always use your own judgement and check a retailer's returns policy before buying. Shoe Box is not responsible for purchases that don't fit.
4. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping access to your account secure (including your email inbox and any Apple/Google account you sign in with).
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@shoe-box.app if you suspect unauthorised use.
5. Acceptable use
To keep Shoe Box useful and its data clean, you agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading or junk entries, or deliberately pollute the brand/model catalogue.
- Scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract data from the Service, or attempt to access other users' shoeboxes.
- Reverse-engineer, interfere with, overload, or attempt to breach the security of the Service.
- Use the Service to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
Brand and model requests you submit are reviewed before being added to the shared catalogue. We may edit, reject, or remove entries to keep the catalogue accurate.
6. Your content & data
The shoe records and other information you add are yours. You keep ownership of them. To run and improve the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and use that information:
- to provide the Service to you (storing and syncing your shoebox); and
- in aggregated and anonymised form, to build and improve Shoe Box and develop aggregated insights, as described in our Privacy Policy. These aggregates cannot identify you.
You confirm that the information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it.
7. Intellectual property
The Shoe Box app, website, design, logo and software are owned by Shepherd Holding W.L.L and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
Third-party brands. Brand and model names shown in Shoe Box (such as Nike, Adidas, New Balance and others) are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification and reference only. Shoe Box is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these brands.
8. Price
Shoe Box is provided free of charge — there are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. If this ever changes, we will update these Terms and make any pricing clear before you are charged; any purchase would then be processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms, and we would not receive or store your payment card details.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the information in the Service (including any size information) will be accurate, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular shoe will fit. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all such warranties.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shepherd Holding W.L.L and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any purchase you make using the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shepherd Holding W.L.L from any claims, damages or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
12. Termination
You can stop using Shoe Box and delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as ownership, disclaimers and limitation of liability — will survive.
13. Apple App Store — additional terms
If you download Shoe Box from the Apple App Store, the following also applies. These Terms are between you and Shepherd Holding W.L.L only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation, and any claims, losses, liabilities, or costs relating to the app are our responsibility, not Apple's. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list, and you agree to comply with applicable third-party terms (for example, your wireless carrier's) when using the app.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of the Kingdom of Bahrain will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any appropriate jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and provide notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
